We recruit, train, fund, and work to elect  progressive women in Northeastern Pennsylvania to political office at the local and state levels of government.

Membership opportunities include: 

  • Serving on committees

  • Encouraging women to seek political office

  • Learning about the political process

  • Working on the campaigns of endorsed candidates

  • Promoting and attending our fundraising efforts

  • Recruiting other women to join PWNEPA

  • Celebrating the positive outcomes of progressive women in leadership

We recruit, train, endorse and support women candidates for local and state elected office 

in the Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming county areas of NEPA.  

Your participation is more important to us than money, if you are unable to pay the membership fee, please contact us.

The Board of Progressive Women of Northeastern Pennsylvania (PWNEPA) is made up of engaged women PAC members. The board establishes a budget, oversees expenditures, and assures that all operations are in compliance with applicable law.

Board members interview women candidates for local and state offices who have completed our candidate questionnaire.
